Refunds

Refunds for withdrawal: Refunds may be granted if a student withdraws from Columbia, transfers, or otherwise chooses not to attend prior to the first day of class. Refund requests will not be granted after the start of the term.

If a student paid for their tuition and fees through an agency, they will be given qualified refunds less any commissions paid to the agent.

Refunds for overpayment: Refund checks are issued in the student’s name. Columbia will hold the refund for a minimum of two weeks from the original payment date to allow for check clearance. If a student requests a refund on a payment made by bank card, Columbia will apply the refund to the same bank card account used in payment.

If a refund is granted, it will first be applied to outstanding charges. If your account has a credit balance, a refund will be generated within 30 days.
